Secretary Sir Samuel Hoare, with his humble

duty to the King, on behalf of Secretary Sir Philip

Cunliffe-Lister, begs to inform Your Majesty that an

application has been received from the Archbishop of

Canterbury that Your Majesty may be pleased to approve

the issue of a Mandate authorising His Grace to

consecrate as a Bishop the Reverend Ronald Owen Hall,

B.A., Vicar of St. Luke's, Newcastle-on-Tyne, with a

view to his succeeding as Bishop of Victoria, Hong Kong,

the Right Reverend Charles Ridley Duppuy, D.D., who has

resigned.

Sir Samuel Hoare begs to submit for Your

Majesty's approval that a Mandate be issued accordingly.

Should Your Majesty be pleased to approve, Mandate is submitted for Your Majesty's signature.
